Configure a node in the inspector
The inspector holds a selected node's identity, configuration, connection and authorization settings, and its run defaults.
Select a node and the inspector opens on the right, showing tabs appropriate to that node type — identity and classification, connection details, authorization, variables, and failure handling for nodes that reach outside the VM.
Config versus per-run values
Inspector fields are the node's saved defaults: they live in the graph document and are what the node uses unless a run overrides them. The Run cfg panel supplies per-run values on top of those defaults, and secrets default to run-only so they never get written into the graph.
- Run defaults — set in the inspector, saved with the graph.
- Run panel fields — the checkbox allow-list choosing which of a node's catalog fields appear in the Run cfg panel.
- Run-only fields — hidden in the inspector, shown in the Run panel with a "Per run" badge.
